Job Title : MIS Specialist

Primary objective of the job :

The MIS specialist is responsible for complying with the timely and proper delivery of the information requirements of the different business areas through the programming and configuration of the reports using the PowerBI and Tableau tools.

He is also responsible for ensuring the reliability and security in the generation and distribution of the published reports, following the internal information security policies according to the type of information that each one contains.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Develop on-demand and scheduled reports based on requests from business users.
  • Create reports and dashboards in PowerBI and Tableau tools.
  • Verify and coordinate with the Datawarehouse team the availability of the data.
  • Ensure that the data uploads are correct and make the pertinent notifications to the users in the opposite case.
  • Create and manage the users of the reporting tool.
  • Inventory and life cycle management of published reports.
  • Academic qualifications and experience required :

  • Graduated from Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computing or similar, or verifiable 5-year experience in the same position or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience delivering reports using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the area of information systems management, preferably in telecommunications companies or having performed functions related to data preparation or ETL process development.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in developing objects and / or queries in PL-SQL and T-SQL.
  • Basic knowledge of Shell Scripting (Unix / Linux)
  • Basic knowledge of Azure SQL.
  • Intermediate knowledge in the development of reports using Power BI.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of report development using Tableau.
  • Advanced knowledge of PL-SQL and T-SQL
  • Bilingual Spanish and English
  • Teamwork with a collaborative approach with other IT areas and other company departments.
  • Ability to work on projects in accordance with agile methodologies and based on the achievement of objectives, setting short, medium and long term goals.
  • Good communication capable of translating technical language into concise responses to user requirements.
