In this role, you have the opportunity to

Use your skills and experience in a high paced, dynamic Global Operational Material Management (OMM) Organization that is responsible for getting the right parts to the right place at the right time.

You will manage the availability of material through the proper material Master Data setup, capacity planning, and purchase order management with internal and external suppliers.

You are responsible for

  • Executing Supply Chain Management (SCM) master data setup and maintenance
  • Executing Product Life Cycle management
  • Inventory system management and ownership and could perform inventory analysis
  • Creating and aligning buy-item stock / replenishment policy
  • Managing forecast with suppliers, including validation, supplier S&OP meeting / n-tier supply availability check and follow-up
  • Aligning and balancing material planning with production planning
  • Drawing up and maintaining the Master Production Scheduling (MPS) schedules for the BU-Operations based on commercial demand, so that orders are delivered on time, inventory is controlled, and production capacity is utilized in an optimum fashion
  • Drawing up & maintaining percentage parts lists to guarantee optimum flexibility in relation to the market
  • Contributing, as part of a working group, to the implementation of new control systems and the improvement of planning procedures and methods

    Operational Material Management (OMM) team based in our Global Business Support (GBS) office in Panama City. This is a very exciting time to be joining Philips, as this site is expanding.

    OMM Planner will work very closely with Commodity Management, Manufacturing Leadership, OMM leadership, and Supply Chain Engineering teams that support multiple product lines.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • From 2 to 5 years of related Planner / buyer experience in multinational companies from the electronics sector or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) industry desirable.
  • From 2 to 3 years of practical experience with SAP and / or other ERP systems
  • From 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in direct Supplier Relationship Management desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
  • Technical knowledge for maintenance parts purchases is a plus
  • Fluent English (Spoken and Written as a must)
  • This role is in Panama City, Panama.
