The role of a Service Sales Engineer is to develop and execute key account plans to expand customer base and customer share in Central America and the Caribbean.
Reach and maintain volume and profitability targets. Visit existing Alfa Laval customers in the territory, advise customers on Preventive or Predictive maintenance of Alfa Laval equipment and generate Sales inquiries.
Resolve customer’s problems or queries. Sale of spare parts and services to existing and new customers in several industries.
Manage key accounts and build good long-term customer relationships at all levels including senior management. Secure and maintain Performance Agreements with key customers.
Provide technical product support to customers. Periodic account reviews with customer and Regional Service Manager. The customer group will be the food and water industry which has Alfa Laval equipment.
Responsabilities include (but not limited to) :
Profile : Engineering degree, preferably Mechanical or Electrical. Knowledge / Abilities : · Knowledge of sales competencies (value selling, negotiation skills, sales planning) · Market and product knowledge (Alfa Laval Product Portfolio)· Experience with technical sales · Excellent relationship building abilities· Intermediate / Advanced English language proficiency.
Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or commercial roles, ideally in technical or industry sales. Competencies : Capable to work in a hands on environment and complex organization, team player, resilience, work in a high pressure environment, dynamic and capable of adapting to different situations.
Customer Service oriented, capable of working independently, goal oriented, self motivated, confident, flexible.
Requirements : Availability to travel at least 70% of the time
Can be Home Office based in Guatemala or based in the Panamá office.
