held pure-play copper producer and one of the top five copper producers in the world.

Responsibilities :

The Power Plant Maintenance Document Control will report to the Power Plant Maintenance Planning Supervisor.

Power Plant Maintenance Document Control duties and responsibilities will include the following :

  • Perform all duties assigned in a safe and professional manner. Be guided in all work by the precept that safety of personnel and equipment is a top corporate priority.
  • Accountable for operating all systems and procedures required to meet department and corporate requirements for document control.
  • To support the Power Plant Maintenance team in the preparation of documents and the updating of various registers such as Maintenance Manuals, Bill of Material, P&ID, Drawings, Material lists.
  • Control and distribute documentation & data in accordance with the requirements of Company and Document Control Procedures.
  • Prepare, launch and follow the workflows and procedures. Prepare Work Orders documentation for the Maintenance Planning Group.
  • Update Work Order Database and archive Work Orders.

  • Ability to amend / update 2-D Drawings on CAD and other electronic drawing platforms is essential.
  • Obtain signatures / approvals from Managers on document cover sheet and keep an up-to-date records database.
  • Support design and engineering managers with updates of various registers including RFIs, value engineering, etc.
  • Create drawings and sketches on AutoCad 2-D platform.
  • Prepare presentations on PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use JDEdwards MS Excel to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills required both oral & written with excellent writing skills
  • Process Driven, Detail Oriented, Self-disciplined, ability to prioritize work and Team Player.
  • Basic understanding of industry best practices relating to planning and scheduling.
  • The ability to work at all levels and comfortable working in a diverse environment.
  • Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Training in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and AutoCad 2-
  • D required. Experience with ERP / CMMS software (JDEdwards) for managing work processing, logistics, and costing preferred.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&ID’s highly preferred. Ability to read and comprehend structural blueprints, electrical drawings, I&C drawings, and control logic drawings highly preferred.
  • 3 years of experience as a Document Control Support.
  • Technical degree from Technical Institute required.
  • Good English communication skills; Spanish working knowledge / fluency required
  • Experience working within multi-cultural environments a definite plus.
