What the role is

The Chef works and report directly to the Country Chef. This position will report directly to the General Manager and in dotted line to the Country Chef and will help to keep updated the culinary developments and initiatives in the Location.

This job is a key position to maximize our kitchen performance and public perception. Selina is growing fast and our dishes are a key element on this journey.

What you will be doing

  • In charge of all Selina culinary aspects
  • Will be guided by a culinary consultant that will be chosen
  • In charge of all Selina kitchen manager from the professional aspects
  • Will be in charge of recruiting the most qualified kitchen manager and staff and their full training process
  • Keeping food cost for all location no more the 25%
  • Keeping labor cost for kitchen worker no more the 22% from all labor cost
  • Responsible for adjusting dishes preparation according to relevant product prices at location
  • Creating new dishes by demand
  • Controlling kitchen inventory orders & organization at all locations
  • In charge of all kitchen equipment maintenance at all location
  • In charge of getting any requested health declaration when needed
  • Keeping Selina kitchen’s up to date in the highest culinary level
  • Will Locate several relevant food suppliers for each location coordinated with procurement department
  • Keep all Selina food BOM up to date
  • In charge on food quality control for all Selina
  • Will be in charge on all food security issues
  • Will be handling all kitchen sanitation & health department permission process at all locations
  • Recruiting & training sui chef after reaching 8 kitchens
  • Will be involved in menu concept meetings and kitchen
  • What you need for the role

  • Min 3 years of experience as a Chef
  • Advanced level of English
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering excellent customer service
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent customer care skills
