Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital.

Wells Fargo Capital Finance (WFCF) is one of the top lead arrangers of asset-based loans in the U.S. with a large and diversified portfolio of close to 2,400 customers and more than $33 billion in loans outstanding.

WFCF offers traditional asset-based financing, specialized senior secured financing, accounts receivable financing, purchase order financing, and supply chain financing to a wide range of companies throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The Trade Finance Group creates and oversees a complete Life-Cycle Management Programs for trade solutions provided to our corporate customers.

The team provides first line customer support for large corporate trade clients who are tightly integrated with Wells Fargo's trade processing infrastructure.

The team also helps streamline the on boarding of new Trade customers.

Responsibilities for this position include :

  • Acting as a business analysts and implementation specialists for Trade ERP customers.
  • Responsible for effective partnerships with other Wells Fargo departments including International System, International Operations, Compliance, Legal, IPPMG and ITS Trade Sales.
  • To implement a complete Life-Cycle Management Program for services, that would enable the customer to select, define, develop, deliver, or exit a particular type of service;
  • Working with Trade Sales to help identify and facilitate solutions that would enable customers to evaluate, select, implement and maintain on-
  • going use of the bank's trade solutions in a cost effective and profitable manner;
  • Responsible to maintain strong internal communications and good working relationships between all business and support units involved in the delivery of Wells Fargo trade solutions.
  • Analyze production support issues root cause, resolve issues, log ALM to track. Escalate to Trade ERP L2 Support if needed.
  • Participate in Project Management Meetings to assure the client's needs are addressed.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions.

    There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

    Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of specialized product consulting experience in finance or banking
  • Desired Qualifications

  • Sales or relationship management experience
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of international and domestic banking in one or more of the following specialties : export finance, trade finance, international finance, and payment systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of international norms, country risk, political, and compliance issues
  • Experience providing product consulting to international financial institutions or corporations
  • Experience using strategy to drive results
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Other Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ Years in International Trade
  • 3+ Years in a client facing role
  • Knowledge of international banking in one or more of the following specialties : export finance, trade finance, international finance and payment systems.
  • Experience with ERP integration projects
  • Experience providing product consulting to international financial institutions or corporations. Well-developed communication, presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent business requirement collection and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills in analyzing customer business processes relating to open account and letter of credit data integrations.
  • Strong customer communication skills in collecting business requirements and analyzing customer production support issues relating to ERP customer technical integrations, including experience with in person requirements sessions with customers.
  • Experience in logging, analyzing, and driving the resolution of ERP production support issues. Strong knowledge of trade finance front end and back end technology.
  • Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
