Working in the procurement and logistics team in Marine & Ports Process Automation in Panama, you will be deciding on and implementing plans for local sourcing to achieve business targets and assist regional and global sourcing initiatives.
Reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Specialist, you will assist in the implementation, maintenance and compliance of procurement & logistics activities, applying and implementing standards, tools and processes to ensure good quality, on-time delivery, optimal costs, and sustainability.
Leading by example by demonstrating HSE best practices and business ethics in day-to-day operations, contract management and negotiations
Selects supplier bid list based on FCM
Asses pre-selected suppliers risk impacts on the project, technical or quality capability, financial susceptibility, through SAP ARIBA
Prepare and execute RFQ events, include draft contract and beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers as approved by the PM and P&L specialist.
Delivering and participating in training programs on compliance and professional development
Executing effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers to drive cross-collaboration
Support Procurement and logistics and project manager in preparation the sourcing plan, in organizing and defining the negotiation strategy with suppliers in tactical operation activities (contract creation, prices request, cost model development, project follow up)
7 years of experience in related positions
Knowledge of SAP (user level)
A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
A Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Industry / Maritime Engineering, Maritime and Port Operations or related careers
Intermediate High or Advanced English Level
