Ethics and Compliance Manager

The Estee Lauder Companies ( ELC ) Ethics & Compliance program is dedicated to promoting an organizational culture of ethical business conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law.
The Program Manager will serve as a key member of the ELC Ethics & Compliance team and support the development, rollout and monitoring of various key compliance program initiatives, systems, and controls.
In particular, the Program Manager will play a meaningful role in managing the development of and execution on strategic and creative program assets that enhance compliance controls and raise awareness of compliance topics across the company. These include :
Code of Conduct and Policies : Project manage the development, rendering, translation and global distribution of print and digital Code of Conduct and policies, including acknowledgments that are administered through the learning management system.
Policy Management : Manage the policy lifecycle process, including processes related to policy updates, review and approval, distribution and acknowledgments.
Training and Communications : Schedule and execute on an annual compliance training and communications plan. Produce, program and launch web-
based compliance training initiatives through the learning management system. Project manage all facets and logistics for global in-
person compliance trainings. Ensure compliance training participation is accurately recorded in the learning management system, and report and follow-
up on delinquent participation and acknowledgments. Initiate drafts of compliance communications and manage distribution plan.
Ethics & Compliance Website : Support development of Ethics & Compliance intranet microsite. Work with colleagues across functions to ensure the site is implemented and regularly updated.
Compliance Systems : Work with information technology and other stakeholders to procure and implement Governance, Risk and Compliance platforms that support compliance controls.
Serve as compliance system administrator and enter data when necessary.
Audit Preparation : Assist in the preparation of materials for internal audits.
Meeting Preparation : Help to prepare presentations and reports on key performance indicators for various compliance meetings.
Research : Conduct industry research and maintain ongoing awareness of compliance program trends and providers. Facilitate RFP processes as necessary.
Additional miscellaneous work as needed, possibly to include development of training content and / or investigations.
Required Experience and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent
Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish is required
Experience working in a Shared Services environment, or working with remote teams required.
Strong commitment to integrity, ethical business conduct and compliance with the law. Interest in compliance and legal topics
Exercises good judgment, and is highly organized, process-driven, detail-oriented, responsible and conscientious
Creative thinker with prior work experience in a compliance function
IT savvy and highly proficient in Microsoft Office and especially PowerPoint
Familiarity with learning management systems (SumTotal total preferred), and an ability to quickly learn new technology, systems and programs
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and confidential matters in a highly discrete and sensitive manner. Good time and resource management skills
Friendly and professional with an ability to interface with executive and non-executive colleagues across the globe. Possesses a high level of social and emotional intelligence
Highly resourceful, self-starter, driven, willingness to grow and learn new skills
Intercultural awareness and sensitivity
Experience with developing and executing on RFPs through a procurement process
Desire for continuous learning and professional development
Preferred Experience and Skills :
Project management experience
SumTotal LMS (or similar), Articulate software, PowerPoint and Excel skills
Website design and management experience
CEEP certified or equivalent compliance certifications
Cross cultural sensitivity and familiarity with large, complex global organizations
