MOBILE CRANES AND TELEHANDLERS TECHNICIAN ? SIGUIRI (GUINEA) Purpose of the Role : This role ensures availability of mobile equipment through specialised maintenance and repair of all mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic such as All terrain mobile cranes, telehandlers and loaders.
Qualifications and Experience : Mechanical or Electrical graduate or recognised Trade Qualification and at least minimum 5 years of experience with heavy equipment or machinery, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years? experience with heavy mobile equipment or machinery. Accountabilities : To carry out / perform maintenance, repairs / modifications and installations on various Mobile Cranes All-Terrain (Grove Cranes), small CAT & Bobcat Loaders and Telehandlers (Manitou Forklift, Toyota Electric Forklift and Hyster Forklift) Assist and support the mobile equipment maintenance team on ALL technical requirements as and when required or as directed by the responsible Engineer.
Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment such as All-terrain Mobile cranes, telehandlers (Forklifts) and small Loaders.
Repair virtually any part on cranes. Operate mechanical boom and cable equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluate correctness and completeness of repairs that have been done on the machine.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts. Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects. Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analysers, chassis charts and pressure gauges.
Oversees the handling and disposing of hazardous wastes, such as toner, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, auto parts cleaner, and similar material.
Competencies Mechanical or Electrical graduate or recognised Trade Qualification and at least minimum 5 years of experience with heavy equipment or machinery, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OEM specialised Mobile Crane Maintenance training and qualification will be an added advantage. Participate and promote Health and Safety at work.
Engage with ALL Mandatory Health, Safety and Environment mine programmes. Provide data and information to support the Maintenance Planner to close out work orders on the Planned Maintenance system on completion of the tasked work activities.
Responsible for the workshop housekeeping and maintain acceptable workshop working environment. Reporting to : Superintendent Light and Heavy Vehicles Remuneration : Salary will be in accordance with the AngloGold Ashanti Schedule of Salaries.
