The financial reporting team for Liberty Latin America comprises team members in both Denver and Panama. The teams work together as one unit to ensure the Company’s consolidated financial statements, bank group financial statements and various other financial reports are presented fairly in accordance with U.

S GAAP or IFRS, as required. This position will be responsible for a variety of duties associated with financial reporting, SEC reporting and consolidation-related processes.

This individual will primarily help to ensure the Company’s consolidated financial statements, bank group financial statements and various other financial reports are presented fairly in accordance with U.S GAAP.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and / or master’s degree in accounting;
  • 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, with minimum of 3 year-end reporting cycles completed and public accounting and / or SEC public company experience (or equivalent local regulatory process) required;
  • CPA or equivalent (or pursuit of CPA / equivalent license) is required.
  • Knowledge and Experience :

  • English fluency required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required;
  • Ability to manage multiple high-pressure priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting strict deadlines. Ability to maintain poise underpressure;
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP (or IFRS) and experience with preparation, or audit, of public company consolidated financial statements, including footnote disclosures.
  • Ability to work in a complex and demanding environment. A strong work ethic and high level of integrity are required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, but also a loyal member of the team.
  • Ability to critically evaluate work processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong Excel-based skills, and
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Hyperion Financial Management ( HFM ) system and / or Webfiling platform is not required, but a plus.

  • Performance and management of monthly financial statement reviews of operating markets to identify unusual period-over-period changes;
  • ensure proper financial statement presentation, such as cash flow presentation; resolve accounting issues with local markets;
  • and ensure accounting is completed in accordance with monthly and quarterly reporting timelines.

  • Preparation of supporting work papers for periodic SEC reports.
  • Preparation of workpaper templates used by the operating markets for purposes of monthly and quarterly close processes;
  • Preparation of various reports and / or analysis used for purposes of the monthly close process;
  • Preparation of quarterly financial analysis to be presented to the Company’s CFO & CAO;
  • Maintain control environment and documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance as it relates to financial reporting;
  • Preparation of periodic SEC reports (10-Qs and 10-Ks), including drafting of financial statement footnotes and management discussion and analysis ( MD&A );
  • Preparation of periodic reports (financial statements and related MD&A) for certain bank groups, as well as supporting workpapers;
  • Assistance in completion of public and private debt / equity offerings;
  • Assistance with accounting integration of acquired businesses;
  • Provide support to investor relations and FP&A groups with respect to earnings releases, investor presentations and other materials;
  • Facilitate and support external auditor’s annual audits and quarterly reviews of the Company.
