The role of the Project Coordinator Senior is to coordinate and supervise all maintenance and repair related work of the various Liebherr Mining equipment on site.
He works closely with the local on-site support team, the actory Product Support and the Project Manager with the goal to achieve highest productivity, reliability and service.
He assists the Project Manager in leading and developing the Liebherr team on site to ensure optimal support for the customer and project.
He is an important contributor to the satisfaction of the customer with Liebherr’s Service Support.
On-site organization to fulfil the technical assistance contract
o Coordinate and supervise on-site organization as per the agreed scope of work o Assist Project Manager in managing, organizing, coordinating and supervising the team on site
o Fill Project Manager’s role during his R&R
o Provide guidance and leadership to field service crews in maintenance and repair tasks and procedures according to maintenance manuals and quality standards
o Develop and manage the training plan for on-site crew
o Support customer with organization of scheduled maintenance and repair work, with daily, weekly, monthly and yearly planning
o Follow up of machine history files, major component exchanges and lifetimes
o Monitor machine’s performances
o Manage warranty claims and classify repair jobs as warranty or non-warranty
o Insure best practice are followed
o Monitor Liebherr and Customer’s requirements in Safety and Environmental Protection policy
Responsible to liaise with the Customer representative on site
o Participate to meetings, agree with customer representative on action lists and ensure follow up
o Assist to customer planning meetings
o Advise on factory updates and upgrades, special tooling and equipment usage
o Provide consultancy to customer in terms of maintenance practices to be used (inspections, services, preventive maintenance, trouble-shooting)
Responsible for the technical matters
o Quick and efficient technical support to the fleet
o Condition monitoring : assess together with customer results of oil samples and agree on schedules for crack and wear inspections
o Report to customer on preventive and corrective actions to be done, organize backlogs and major component's change-out
o Supervise activities carried out by Liebherr technical support team, such as Daily / weekly checks and services (PMs) with assistance of customer staff and equipment Trouble-
shooting with assistance of customer staff and equipment Hands-on training to customer staff (maintenance and trouble-shooting)
Advise and recommend for the parts stock management on site
o Assist Liebherr Parts Business Manager with planning, execution and supervision of component and parts change outs
o Give input for definition and set-up of adequate on-site stock levels and storage of parts
o Schedule in advance the requirements for parts, and namely the major parts with long delivery time
o Responsible to carry out actions following CSI’s and implementation thereof
Preparation of reports which outline all performance activities, relevant issues and KPI's
o Timely and effective reporting and communication to Liebherr and customer
o Produce weekly and monthly reports detailing activities, major work, improvement opportunities and equipment KPI’s
o Submit Product Information Reports (PIR) to Liebherr factory for product questions and issues
o Elaborate monthly statement for payment to charge for service contract
