Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company. They have asked us to assist them in their search for an Associate Director, Epidemiology .
Major tasks and responsibilities will include :
Provides support for all major product portfolios within Clinical Research and Development, including identifying epidemiological data, research needs, and strategy development.
Designs, implements, and executes epidemiology research programs and studies.
Collects, manages, analyzes, and reviews program and study data.
Generates results report and prepares data summaries for regulatory submissions, technical reports, publications, and any related documents.
Prepares manuscripts for peer reviewed journals.
Plans, coordinates, and executes contracting of external CROs.
Manages epidemiology research programs and studies performed by external CROs.
Leads the completion of benefit-risk assessments.
Applies relevant knowledge in consultation with statisticians and collaborate with programmers when necessary.
Clearly articulates results of epidemiological programs and studies to internal / external stakeholders through the preparation and use of abstracts, posters, presentations, and written reports.
Develops, communicates, and implements Best Practices, SOPs, templates, work instructions, etc.
We seek candidates with the following qualifications :
Doctoral degree in Epidemiology or related discipline required.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
Must have experience in the design, implementation and analysis of prospective, field-based epidemiologic studies.
Requires demonstrated ability to successfully conduct independent research.
Familiarity with benefit-risk assessment frameworks and structured benefit-risk assessment methods highly preferred.
Requires the ability to work successfully on cross-functional teams or in a matrix organizational structure.
Must be able to evaluate and critically interpret epidemiologic data.
Requires solid understanding of the drug development process.
Requires the ability to plan strategically for the most advantageous application of epidemiological research in product development and post-marketing support.
Must have excellent written and spoken English, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
