Job Summary : The Clinical Coordinator- Oncology delivers / oversees care provided to current, past and potential oncology patients as part of the LVPG care delivery team.
Integral member of the practice leadership team; focusing on clinical support staff. Serves as a clinical resource for all practice staff, including Practice Director / Manager and Practice Lead.
Accountable for clinical staff orientation, education, clinical skills competency, clinical office operations, and clinical skills remediation, as necessary.
Facilitates seamless transitions of care across the continuum. Facilitates completion of initiatives designed to enhance the patient care experience, inclusive of pre-
visit planning and clinical intelligence tools.
Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Nursing( BSN).
Oncology experience direct / indirect of 3 years / physician practice experience of 3yrs.
Demonstrates initiative and is able to function independently as well as collaboratively. Demonstrates the ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change.
Demonstrates time management and organizational skills. Accepts and recognizes differences among people. Excellent computer skills, including electronic medical record (EMR), word processing (Microsoft Word), PowerPoint, and Excel.
Demonstrates strong communication skills and mature emotional intelligence. Demonstrates project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum of three (4 yrs.) oncology experience preferred.
Oncology Nurse certification is a requirement for this position. Member of professional oncology society is preferred Ability to provide chemotherapy in office setting / and or provide educational training for office base chemotherapy desired for this position.
Licensure and Certifications : Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current BLS (provided during LVPG Orientation).
