The Contracts Sr. Advisor will serve as a lead negotiator for all commercial outbound agreements, channel partner agreements (including reseller and distribution agreements), services agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and any other agreements associated with the role.
Duties include drafting standard form agreements, reviewing and negotiating non-standard terms with customers, and working with internal departments (such as sales, finance, tax, accounting, support and product management) to ensure that the interests of Dell are properly addressed in agreements.
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures for contract administration and compliance with company policy and to improve overall department efficiency.
The Contracts Sr. Advisor also :
Supports regional and multi-national contracts
Ensures compliance to company policy, legal and regulatory requirements and customer and / or supplier specifications.
Provides contractual and commercial expertise, support and guidance in the development and negotiation of contracts, including risk assessment and alternate positions to support the offer.
Advises, or approves amendments to contract and / or commercial terms or contract extensions.
Advises internal functions of contractual rights and obligations.
Coordinates internal Dell resources to effectively complete the contract documents.
Provides post-negotiation support to facilitate effective execution of signed contract / agreement.
Analyzes, develops, and administers contractual documents to ensure compliance to company policy, legal and regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Coordinates internal Dell resources to effectively address customer and / or supplier requirements.
Provides after sale support to facilitate effective execution of signed contract / agreement.
Coordinates internal Dell resources to effectively respond to customer’s and / or supplier's proposal requirements.
Identifies competitive advantages of company Terms and Conditions over competitor proposals.
Includes all necessary data for the customer and / or supplier to fully evaluate the offer.
Increases sales efficiency and effectiveness.
Interfaces with the Customer and / or at the mid-high management levels
Proven 8+ years’ experience negotiating and drafting sales related agreements.
Experience in a IT and / or multinational company. Experience within multi-country sales negotiations is a plus.
Law Degree. Master is a plus.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced contract drafting skills.
Native in Spanish and fluency in English. Portuguese is a plus.
Advanced negotiations skills.
In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition principles, common contractual issues, & indirect channel relationships.
Advanced analytical skills and knowledge. Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage several projects at once with limited supervision.
Ability to project manage cross-regionally to support department initiatives
Willing to engage in administrative tasks to handle all aspects of concluding agreements.
Ability to remain calm in busy and stressful situations.
Willing to work extended hours at quarter end.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
