Responsibilities :

Several Locations : (Panama, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Bolivia, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua)

The Digital Product Manager for Tigo Business owns and drives the overall success and growth of a portfolio of Digital Tigo Business products, channels and tools for the LatAm region.

Works in implementing the Tigo Business strategy in the digital ecosystem, translating the business needs in a digital journey with a clear roadmap, processes, and end to end digital operating model.

Tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to the definition, creation, strategy, measurement, development and management of Tigo Business Digital Products, channels and tools.

Digital Product categories range from self-service platforms, discovery websites, eCommerce / eCare solutions, and engagement tools, and have the main goal of improving existing business processes, customer journeys and customer touch points while capitalizing on the efficiencies resulting from the digital evolution.

The Product Manager must be proactive in identifying solutions to the main Tigo Business problems from the operations. In order to accomplish this proactivity, a deep knowledge about B2B processes and journeys, and Digital solutions, are key aspects of the role.

Additionally, it will work closely with the B2B segment managers in order to leverage B2B digital products and tools in the B2B journey.

Adoption and time to market are core responsibilities for the role. Product Manager will share best practices and support with our operations to support their growth and accelerate business impact.

Core Responsabilities

  • Design and development aimed at improving current products or developing new ones to satisfy consumer demand and substantially contribute to Tigo’s revenues and profitability growth.
  • After having understood B2B segments journeys and artifacts and use cases for every product and every channel , this role would be capable of defining roadmap of developments in the digital touch points with B2B clients.
  • Evangelize and promote the adoption of Tigo Business Digital products / channels / tools across the organizations as integral part of Millicom’s strategy.
  • Responsible for implementing, tracking and maintaining all Tigo Business Digital product KPIs. Compare these across different regions and generate insights and benchmarks to set new goals and objectives locally and regionally.
  • Identify Digital solutions to key operational / commercial problems from the operations.
  • Monitor KPIs and indicators for monthly reporting and identify trends and corrective measures per market.
  • Engage in business development activities to scout, identify, negotiate and close leading digital companies in the industry to partner with Millicom across all LatAm regions that can accelerate the growth of our Digital Product portfolio and strategy.
  • Develop and share success stories, best practices, case studies and key performance factors from industry wide practices as well as Millicom implementations.
  • Able to manage both short term feature releases and longer-term roadmap.
  • Engage and involve other Millicom inter-functional teams to achieve a complete communication across units. Legal, IT, Procurement, Prod Development, Sales and Marketing.
  • Manage few million-dollar budget and relationship with suppliers / providers / partners.
  • Work closely with Business teams to review business cases and use consumer insights to aid the ideation process.
  • Prioritize portfolio of new products or features to ensure strategic alignment and budget accomplishment.
  • Provide technical support to evaluate ideas to expand Tigo Business Digital product, channels, and tools portfolio.
  • Produce user stories by preparing the functional and technical specifications of new product or improvements of existing ones always comparing to ideal customer journeys
  • Clearly establishes product milestones (or sprints) and objectives by detailing functionality at consumer and technical level.
  • Collect, organize and structure all additional information required to support the Statement of Work.
  • Key Interfaces

  • Works with external partners and suppliers to ensure all development requirements are met for the new developments on time and on budget.
  • Liaises with business users of systems collating feedback to ensure all user needs are met.
  • Keeps management informed of project status through periodic status reporting and project updates.
  • Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • 5+ years in product or project development or engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the development of similar requirement, testing, and process documents for unlicensed spectrum is a key requirement.
  • Managerial experience in medium to large size organizations.
  • A born product development native with substantial knowledge on product definition, development, and life cycle management.
  • Proven revenue generation, strategy, and management experience.
  • Experience

  • Superior people management and project management skills, but also a hands-on’ attitude to work.
  • Strong understanding of Product Management practices.
  • Organized, detailed self-starter who is resourceful and able to effectively prioritize competing assignments.
  • Highly skilled in facilitating meetings and creating and delivering presentations to a variety of in-person and remote audiences.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of digital products, understanding of digital ecosystem, and how to create engagement and high growth for digital audiences thru innovative concepts, apps and content.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish languages a must.
