In this role, you have the opportunity to
Focus on strategic buying activities, commodity strategy development, and deployment in support of a world leader in healthcare solutions and services.
You will define market sourcing strategies that are aligned with global commodity strategies and specific business unit programs and requirements.
You will be part of negotiations teams, implementation projects and manage commercial relationships with suppliers.
Based out of Panama you will be a part of the Regional Leadership Team and lead a talented group of 5 procurement professionals who jointly manage a comprehensive portfolio of Indirect Materials and Services as well as the services and solutions portfolio that supports our sales organization.
You will report to an MT member of the IMS organization.
You are responsible for
Achieving maximum bottom-line impact and performance by actively using the sourcing network, making global commodity strategies locally relevant where needed and ensure successful execution of these strategies.
Ensure effective relationship / stakeholder management towards sectors / business / markets. Actively support with supply market & process knowledge and expertise in the area of Consultancy, Testing & Certification, Legal, Health and Benefits and other professional services.
Manage and execute all strategic procurement activities for the assigned supply base.
Supporting regular performance reviews with different leadership teams to reflect changing business needs and requirements.
Leading the negotiations and the process with suppliers where local solutions are required ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership to contribute to the profitability objectives for projects in the market.
Providing regular reports to the demand side that brings visibility on value-add and compliance
Optimize the supply base on the basis of the total cost of ownership and develop sustainable supplier relationships
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s / Master Degree
Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Procurement, preferably within the Indirect Material Spend categories such as Marketing, Industrial, Personnel, Mobility and other professional services
Experience within or working with a large international company is required
Evaluates supply trends and market developments and aligns supply based strategy with needs of business
Is closely connected to the business and makes local commodity strategy relevant to customer needs
Experience driving improvements in (TCO) Total Cost of Ownership and ensure impact on the bottom line
Experience in contract negotiations
Manage reporting and results of complex assignment toward business leadership
Strong stakeholder management skills in a matrix environment
Analytical, conceptual thinker, pragmatic, strong interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, with focus on getting things done
Clear and effective networker and communicator at different levels in- and outside the company. Leadership qualities to lead project teams
The focus is on LATAM; travel is about 15%
