We are currently seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our Legal team.
Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the workplace.
Ensure all legal procedures are maintained with meticulous attention to detail.
Oversees the junior lawyers’ legal representation of the business on all corporate matters.
Oversees the review of permits, regulatory and compliance matters with the Lands & Permit department identifying all obligations / commitments acquired by Cobre Panama in all areas.
The Senior Lawyer also takes a leading role, alongside the Head of Legal, in determining the legal direction and strategy of the
Provides significant input in the development and implementation of legal compliance policies and procedures.
Counsels colleagues and develops appropriate relationships for the legal department with other departments across the business
as well as externally with state authorities and government officials.
Providing cross-functional team leaders with legal advice through all corporate transactions.
Identifies legal issues within the business and provides legal analyses and possible legal solutions.
Offers advice to departmental leaders across the business on applicable laws and the interpretation of legal documents in a manner that avails a practical legal approach while properly managing the risks to the business.
Leads the junior lawyers in handling various drafting tasks, inclusive of quarterly / annual report drafting, proxy statement

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Skills
Demonstrate exceptionally good communication skills both in written and verbal form.
Convey massages and instructions clearly to collaborating personnel across the business as well as externally to the business’s
partners and governing bodies.
Skills in drafting numerous forms legal documentation, for example, negotiating contracts, non-disclosure agreements, terms and
conditions, among others.
Must be technology adept and have excellent computer skills. He must display exceptionally good Ms Office, Ms Excel, and
owerPoint skills that will be necessary for the drafting of various legal documents as necessary and for the creation of engaging
presentations as necessary.
Must be a strategic and creative thinker, he must be result oriented as well as detail oriented, be flexible and welcoming to
change, have excellent and organizational and planning skills, he will have an ability to manage numerous simultaneous projects and
meet tight deadlines.
Meticulous and have a keen eye for detail, have exceptionally good problem solving skills, and possess and ability to remain
calm and composed during times of uncertainty and stress.
Must be a people person and be capable of forming strong, lasting, and meaningful relationships with others while maintaining
firm adherence to legal standards.
Demonstrate confidence but remain approachable and relatable, which will inspire confidence and trust in others who will then
trust in his insights and judgments and follow in his directives.
A Tertiary qualification in Law
Master’s degree (preferred).
We are currently seeking a talented Senior Lawyer to join our Legal Team.
Five years’ experience in corporate legal environment.
A suitable candidate will further demonstrate vast experience working on corporate governance issues as well as experience
working at all levels of management consulting with senior business leadership and stakeholders.
Experience working in a legal corporate capacity providing legal advice on a vast set of general corporate matters such as mergers
and acquisitions, finance, taxation, contracts.
Fluency in Spanish and English is required, both written and spoken.
