PURPOSE AND OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION
The Senior Purchasing Specialist is responsible to place purchase orders in the system. Responsible to execute the Buy Plan according to country requirements.
Provides a world class service level related to purchasing process and product availability tracking and visibility. Ensure a successful execution of the purchasing process of each article according to the buy plan developed in each cut-off.
Provides full visibility of the buy plan outcome after the Purchasing week until the PO reaches status "planned . Communicates to the relevant functions if any purchase orders are in status "cancelled", "delayed" or "unplanned .
Be a consultant for other areas in terms of his / her range of articles for planning, release dates and volume placed. Perform measurable and accurate buy plan execution to ensure reduction of free stock.
The position will be based in Panama.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the placement of Purchase Orders in line with the Buy Plan developed through the signal received from demand planning to ensure Purchase Orders are placed and and transferred to GSP within the correct timelines
Manage the follow up of every Purchase Order until it reaches the status "planned" and communicate to the relevant functions if any order is cancelled, unplanned, lock or faced any other issues to ensure the completion of the whole purchasing process until confirmation from GSP
Drive all needed changes in the Purchase Orders during the Pre-allocation process (increment to reach MPQ, Alternate Sourcing List) to reduce financial loses to guarantee the planning of all orders and its production inside the requested timeline
Deploy status of Purchases Orders to the Availability Manager, Senior Manager Purchasing and Manager Purchasing for the on time communication to channels and marketing about PO's status (locked, planned, unplanned, delayed)
Manage tracking of the Purchase Orders changed, unconfirmed or late outstanding on a weekly base to reflect most updated status of each PO for the construction of the MPP + 's reports (critical to generate the One Purchasing Report)
Generate Stock Transfer Orders (STO) for satellite plants in specific markets as Puerto Rico and Cuba to ensure product is delivered on time to customers
Maintain Systems and Reports up to date with the most accurate information about Purchase Orders and their status to ensure Buy Plan execution as planned and to provide proper product availability to channels
Generate customized Pre-packing requirements to support direct shipments to key costumers to foster our commercial relation to meet specific client requirements
Drive the International Logistic System (ILS) Forecast upload into the system and perform all necessary checks to fix errors to reserve factory capacity and ensuring LAM volume requirements are covered based on the signal received from Demand Planning
Maintain Purchases Orders confirmations updates on a daily basis to support the Availability Manager with the latest and most updated information about the status of each Purchase Order

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
University degree or equivalent education required
Broad and deep theoretical understanding of functional area
Minimum 2 years experience in job, job function or similar area
