Job Description

The Senior Manager Information Security Operations will lead Liberty Latin America (LLA’s) regional security operations and is responsible for effectively planning, managing and coordinating all activities in the areas of a comprehensive corporate information security program in order to help drive continuous program maturity and performance.

The Manager delivers expertise across the region while ensuring alignment and unity of effort between and across Operating Companies (OpCos) of LLA.

Manages professional employees and / or investigators across geographically dispersed regional security teams. Participates in the planning and execution of the day to day security operations for LLA.

Accountable for managing financial resources in the Security Operations Center. Responsible for the development of security recommendations based on historical incidents to facilitate the protection of employees, company and partner data, as well as company property and assets from loss.

Overall responsibility for developing / administering performance standards for the security operations team. Develop processes, policies and procedures to implement functional security operations strategies in conjunction with strategic advisors and partners.

Gives oversight and guidance to security operations department members in consultation with senior management.

Accountable for ensuring that the security programs and strategies of LLA are effectively implemented and maintained operationally.

  • Provide overall direction and leadership to the security operations teams in delivering professional, high quality, high-touch customer service-
  • Direct and develop security operations strategies and roadmaps to effectively manage risk, respond to incidents and maintain continuity of operations.
  • Establish and oversees effective and consistent security-performance measurement systems, communication protocols and comprehensive audit and compliance functions
  • Asses and partner with other stakeholders and help manage the development and implementation of information security policies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines and best practice standards and the strategic objectives of LLA.
  • Provide security expertise, training and resourcing of materials to employees to enable a deeper understanding of risk mitigation and loss prevention, safety and other security-related principles, policies and procedures.
  • Provide required management oversight and support of investigations into allegations of criminal acts, theft / property loss, sales and fraud investigations, and other activities that disrupts or have the potential to disrupt the delivery and / or brand of LLA.
  • Effectively partner and integrate with other organizational business partners in Risk, Audit and Compliance, Human Resources, Employee Engagement, Real Estate and Facilities, business channel leaders and Legal to include appropriate stakeholder meetings, workgroups and participation in reoccurring meetings.
  • Manage security staffing and actively manage the performance of outsourced / contract information security partners and other security vendors using key performance indicators (KPIs) in order to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with various law enforcement agencies as required to process potential information security incidents throughout the region in coordination with local resources.
  • Act as a primary point-of-contact with law enforcement in cases involving employees or customers.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent- Masters preferred
  • Field of Study- Business, Criminal Justice, Information Security or an equivalent area of study relevant to this position from an accredited college or university.
  • Certifications - CISM or CISSP preferred
  • Years of Experience - Generally requires 10+ years related experience of increasing responsibility with a full suite of corporate information security experience to include, crisis management, security orchestration and critical infrastructure protection, risk controls, loss prevention.
