What's The Role?
Reporting to the Regional Head of Digital Transformation for Growth and CVM, this role will assist serve the role of product owner for agile development management of digital journeys and platforms for growth and CVM addressing the Learn, Buy, Get journeys (Sales, marketing , activation) in the communications and entertainment product flow.
Role will be responsible for serving as the liaison with the business owners in the various OpCos representing the business needs, and scheduling and managing the agile platform development based on the requirements.
What You ll Do
Delivering business results and customer value
Specific and measurable KPI’s to be defined for each Squad in your Tribe.
Setting an overall vision to direct and inform the Squad’s work
Working closely with your Tribe Lead to understand and drive alignment on the Tribe’s business strategy, goals, and objectives.
Translating this understanding into a clear vision for your Squad to inform the creation and prioritization of the Squad's backlog of work.
Sharing information about the Squad’s output and priorities with other Product Owners to ensure alignment across the organization.
Serving as the voice of customer or end-user
Proactively seeking customer feedback to learn and better understand their needs and requirements.
Representing customer needs and requirements to ensure they are well-understood by the Squad.
Facilitating product demos to empower Squad members with real-time feedback from customers.
Engaging key business and IT stakeholder across the company
Regularly engaging key stakeholders.
Conducting annual and quarterly reviews with key stakeholders.
Overseeing what is delivered by the Squad and by when
Prioritizing work through a well-organized backlog of user stories, and clearly communicating what needs to be done and by when.
Defining and clearly communicating acceptance criteria for output based on business & customer needs.
Making trade-off decisions to balance product quality, cost, and delivery timelines, as needed.
Supporting and enabling the Squad to get its work done
Regularly engaging with the Squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements,
and answer questions
Engaging with Chapter Leads with regards to resourcing and functional expertise required in Squad.
Working with group functions, shared services, and other stakeholders to make sure the Squad has what it needs to do its work.
Removing roadblocks or bottlenecks that prevent the Squad from progressing on its work.
Enabling the organization’s new way of working
Modelling behaviours to support the organization’s transformation to a new way of working.
Actively creating and maintaining a Squad culture based on the organization and Agile leadership behaviors.
Preferred education / qualifications
Graduate level (Bachelors or higher) degree in Information Technology, Finance or Business or related field. Significant program management, finance management and communication experience (8+ years).
MBA is a plus.
Specific Knowledge & Experience
Minimum 8 years previous relevant experience as a product owner in agile digital development gained within a large commercial environment.
Deep understanding of the agile development methodology, the role of product owner, digital platform development.
Strong business acumen and a deep strategic mindset.
Knowledge and experience working with various technology platforms.
Experience working with and understanding the needs of customers or clients (internal or external).
Ability to lead a cross-functional team through influence.
Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on hard and soft data.
Commitment to the organization’s new way of working through greater collaboration and breaking down of siloes.
