JOB PURPOSE
This position will provide services for Latin America and the Caribbean country offices, reporting directly to the Information Technology Solutions National Officer :
works closely with the helpdesk, different service units, end users and other WFP units (at regional level, Headquarters and Country Offices) to understand the needs of the organization and develop requirements and specifications for systems and services according to their priority and criticality.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Completion of secondary school education. Desirable bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other equivalent field.
Language : Command, spoken and written, of the Spanish and English languages.
Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the area of technology, implementing solutions in the area of technology and developing policies and procedures in the area of Information security.
Knowledge & Skills : Knowledge of ISO 27001 and Cybersecurity standards (NIST, ISO 27032, etc.).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure that individual and collective objectives are met in accordance with all relevant provisions and policies.
DESIRABLE TECHNICAL SKILLS
Excellent communication skills are essential. The position also involves documentation skills.
Cloud data center management skills (Azure / AWS) highly desirable. Information Security : this role requires extensive familiarity with information security practices and procedures and their platforms to protect the organization's data from intrusion or corruption.
Problem solving skills : troubleshoot network, computer and device problems using creativity and technique. Communication skills : effective verbal and written communication skills are vital in this role, as IT specialists work directly with users and IT department personnel.
Knowledge and experience in technology security penetration testing assessments, interpreting data associated with these reports and ability to eliminate or mitigate vulnerabilities associated with these reports.
Ability to perform technology risk assessments and assist in remediation and mitigation. Positive attitude and proactivity to face the challenges and difficulties of the position and the ability to work under pressure.
