The Global Legal Services Paralegal Marketing will deliver high quality support to the business in collaboration with the ELC Legal team in Panama, New York and the Regions.
The Paralegal will primarily be responsible for supporting the Global Legal Marketing team (including SVP, Deputy General Counsel) in both day to day and medium term projects related to legal marketing issues, including but not limited to (i) maintaining and creating databases to store legal advice by topic, (ii) tracking legal challenges and litigation, (iii) collecting and organizing claims support / documentation from various teams and functions, (iv) helping respond to global requests for advertising claims substantiation, (v) liaising directly with brand clients, and (vi) helping maintain library of advertising assets that have been legally approved.
Cosmetics industry knowledge and prior experience supporting advertising claims is a plus. This role requires a strong understanding of databases, Microsoft Office 365, and project and data management.

Roles and Responsibilities
Support Global Legal Marketing team members in New York, Panama, and other parts of the world.
Create and maintain databases to store information, for example, legal advice by topic, advertising claims support documentation, and examples of previously approved advertising materials.
Help provide technology-based solutions for more streamlined information sharing among members of the Global Legal Marketing team and clients in other parts of the Company.
Help facilitate the flow of information between attorneys, clients, and other claims support stakeholders such as R&D, during the advertising claims approval process.
Partner with R&D and other stakeholders to collect and organize claims support materials in a more optimal manner.
Respond to global requests for advertising claims substantiation.
Work with attorney to review and approve advertising claims and assets, for example, review advertising claims against claims support provided by R&D.
Support of advertising-related litigation and challenges, including tracking of matters.
Position based at ELC’s OneSource Legal Shared Services Center in Panama
Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish is required
Experience working in a Shared Services environment, or working with remote teams required.
Health, beauty, fashion industry experience is a plus
1-2 years of work experience as a project manager, paralegal, regulatory professional, or database administrator at a multi-national company or law firm. (Maximum 3 years.)
