Job description : Purpose
Reporting to the Coordinator, Camp Facilities, the Planner, Camp Maintenance will implement, coordinate and facilitate preventive and corrective maintenance of the HR Camp Facilities (maintenance tasks including basic carpentry, civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing
Work) to comply with the optimal execution of the plan and maintenance schedule, contributing to achieve productivity, reliability and availability goals.
Key Accountabilities and Challenges
Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the HR Camp Facilities.
Coordinate resources, labour, spare parts and materials to site and plant access for preventative maintenance
Assist with ordering and securing resources for maintenance work including liaising with suppliers
Record, consolidate and prepare performance measures for the maintenance teams
Prepare work packages and standards of work as required by the maintenance team
Prioritising scheduled and un-scheduled workflow ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of the company
Establish and maintain the equipment register within the planning systems (JD Edwards) to enable full functionality of the system and accurate reporting
Maintain the work order system within the planning system
Raise stock and purchase requisitions
Develop and maintain standard work scopes, parts material lists and other support documents used for maintenance activities
Assist with inventory item management through accurate and timely preparation of ANSI / ANSIL processes and regular reviews to ensure relevancy
Ensuring administrative tasks and required documentation is completed clearly and concisely within established timeliness to standard companies
Assist with budget and forecast preparation
Promoting a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable safety standards
Provide technical support for maintenance personnel on a daily basis to maximize effectiveness, efficiencies and optimize costs
Inspects facilities, prioritizes necessary repairs, improvements and preventive maintenance;
Follows all safety rules and regulations to minimize risk and enhance the safety of employees and visitors; checks property and grounds for unsafe conditions, and clears hazards.
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled facilities maintenance, preventive maintenance, component replacement and repair tasks, including carpentry, mechanical, and basic non-licensed electrical and plumbing work;
cleans and maintains specialized camp kitchen equipment;
Works on assigned projects, and makes appropriate decisions based on work experience and individual skills.
Control, report and reduce operational costs, and ensure cost consideration taken with all decisions.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Camp Maintenance.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
A Tertiary Qualification in an Engineering and / or related Trade Certificate
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and technical skills in maintenance, repair and diagnosis of fixed plant and infrastructure, such as buildings, potable water systems, waste water treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, water storage tanks, air conditioning systems, compressed air and distribution systems, laboratory equipment, fire systems, monitoring systems, domestic buildings, kitchens, laundries,
Knowledge of working planning and scheduling, equipment availability and preventative maintenance processes
Skill to understand and analyse maintenance performance indicators (KPIs)
Knowledge in management of information systems (JD Edwards)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large enterprise systems
Experienced in the use of maintenance management systems
5+ years industry experience in a planning or maintenance role
Fluency in Spanish is required and proficiency in English highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.
