Job description

Fraud Investigator at Fraud Investigations and Customer Screenings, part of Philips Internal Audit.

Your challenge

As a Fraud Investigator at Fraud Investigations and Customer Screenings (FICS, part of Philips Internal Audit) you will support the FICS activities in your area (Americas) for FICS to be the world class innovative Investigation and Audit function.

You will support the senior Fraud Investigators in complex and sensitive investigations and support initiatives for FICS to transform with the company, anticipating on its changing risk profile.

Your responsibilities

You are part of a global Fraud Investigations and Customer Screenings team with offices in The Netherlands, Panama and China.

Your responsibility includes :

  • Assist in multiple fraud investigations in your area of responsibility (Americas).
  • Document findings and conclusions in line with the prescribed tools and methods.
  • Support the entire documentation and reporting of the fraud report, in line with Philips procedures and systems.
  • Act as representative for FICS and ambassador for Internal Audit.
  • Ensure that the Investigation activities are executed in accordance with the applicable methodology.
  • Translate learnings from the Investigations activities in practical advice for FICS, PIA and Philips when applicable

    We are looking for

    Fraud Investigations and Customer Screenings (FICS) is looking for a highly energetic and qualified individual :

  • Bachelor degree (accounting, finance, law or equivalent).
  • Spanish and English fluency (verbal and written), with Portuguese a plus.
  • Preferably a certification as a public accountant or internal auditor with at least 2 years of experience in same field or industry.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in evidence gathering and investigative techniques.
  • Strong developed communication and influencing skills, consistent and balanced behavior.
  • Knowledge of the legal system and understanding the language of the legal community.
  • A solid understanding of business information and financial reporting systems, accounting and auditing standards and procedures.
  • Solid report writing skills.
  • Able to effectively report on the status of work and manage (timely completion) of multiple tasks.
  • Able to receive and provide constructive feedback.
