What's the role : Implement the Mobile Core & VAS Strategy for the Region, from budget to execution by estimating the CAPEX required to deliver de outcomes defined in the strategy.
Once the CAPEX is approved, designs the solution, engages with vendors to implement the designed solution, and provides all the required inputs (scope, budget, and designs) to the PMO team.
Acts as the design authority for the assigned projects. The objective is to design the most cost-effective solutions to meet the business demands in terms of capacity and coverage.
The role gathers the requirements from every local market, helping them to assess the competitive position and setting the right priorities aligned with the business strategy, improving NPS and reducing the cost to serve.
Verifies that the implemented solution is aligned with the proposed design. What you'll do : Life Cycle Management for core the platforms assigned by his / her supervisor : Provide yearly CAPEX / OPEX estimates Manage baseline configuration by defining the default system parameters Design and implement the changes required to serve new commercial requirements, capacity expansions, system upgrades or network optimizations Plan for the platform phaseout and replacement when the platform reaches EoL or EoS Provide Tier 3 support to Operations and Quality Assurance activities.
Provide all the definitions required (scope, budget, and designs) by the PMO team for the proper implementation projects execution.
Provide proper handover to Operations for all the core platforms assigned by his / her supervisor. Knowledge and Experience : Bachelor level, Information Technology and / or comparable technical engineering degree.
Ideally educated to degree level or alternate appropiate industry experience with 5+ years of experience in planning, engineering of operationes either on an operator or a vendor.
Demonstrable experience of working in a large telco in a complex operational environment working in cross-functional teams.
Experience in cloud / virtualized environments. Proven experience engaging effectively with executive and senior level management.
Experience and appreciation of working in a customer focused environment essential. Skills & Abilities : Proven operational capability within Mobile Technologies having planned, designed or deployed projects for a mobile operator or a vendor of mobile network technologies.
Has the ability to effectively communicate at all levels, translating complex technical language into high level executive narrative.
Ability to drive improvement programs for the platforms within his scope. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working partnerships at his level through a collaborative approach.
Demonstrate influencing skills, encouraging colleagues and teams to change established processes and achieve improvements and best practice.
Timeliness in all actions with quality consciousness towards services received and provided. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to form strong business relationships across multiple locations.
