quality operations and development projects in eight countries across five continents.
With a strategic plan to produce more than 1 million tonnes per annum of copper within five years, the Company is poised to become the largest, widely-
held pure-play copper producer and one of the top five copper producers in the world.
Key Accountabilities :
Early responsibility for quality of completion on infrastructure buildings including MSA facilities, emulsion plant, workshops, laboratory, warehouses and plant buildings.
Liaise with the owner’ department for example : Mobile Maintenance, to get the final agreed punch-list for the MSA workshop.
Ongoing facilities maintenance with responsibility across disciplines involved buildings, electrical, painting, scaffolding, etc.
Responsibilities will include phased takeover of current project roles across camp maintenance, water treatment plants, STPs, fire systems, etc.
Develop long and short range maintenance plans / programs (e.g. emergency response plans, energy management plans, annual budget, etc.
for the purpose of ensuring that district resources are effectively utilized.
Compile monthly management reports.
Develop and maintain procedures and work practices aimed at preventing accidents or injuries.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory policies and standards.
Actively support the Environmental Management systems, including incident reporting and investigation.
Train and develop the local workforce.
Take a proactive role in the setting and maintaining of appropriate standards of behaviour.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Maintenance qualifications / trade certificate.
10 years minimum experience in Maintenance or a similar field.
More than 5 years in large mine environment and on Supervisory / Superintendent level.
Experience operating within the mining industry.
