The Manager Indirect Procurement will be responsible for the effective sourcing of $70M in spend, focused on the facilities, office, software services, transportation, logistics, and travel services categories.
The Manager must operate independently and provide category sourcing strategy, thought leadership, and direction for all sourcing activities.
Must have knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement best practices, sourcing principles, spend analytics, the development and management of request-for-proposals (RFPs), and supplier relationship management.
Ensures the most optimum performance metrics are in place to measure supplier effectiveness based on contracted SLA’s.
The Manager must be able to develop and execute negotiation strategies and lead the negotiation process with external suppliers, often dealing with individuals of higher levels (VP’s, CFO’s, CEO’s).
The Manager should be an experienced negotiator and have experience negotiating complex contractual terms. The Manager will also be responsible for developing master service agreements, statements of work, and purchase order terms and conditions.
Must be able to collaborate with attorneys to review and finalize agreements for executive approval.
The candidate for this position will have the skills and capabilities to lead cross-functional sourcing teams in large spend areas, and to work with and influence internal leadership to adopt leading practices to improve operational effectiveness and drive sourcing value.
This position has a strong North American focus but must be able to operate on a global basis, with projects involving Latin American, European, and Asian operations.
