Accountant Assistant - Payments Processor

As an Accountant Assistant Payment Processor you will have direct contact with different stakeholders and ensure that the processes are run with excellence and adequate support.

The position is based in Panama City, Panama

Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do

As an Accountant Assistant Payment Processor you will :

  • Process Supplier Payments Execute weekly payment for supplier invoices for purchase of goods and services. Ensure compliance to Company policies and procedures.
  • Handling of Supplier down-payment requests

  • Report’s execution - to comply with Best Practices, Internal Controls and Operational Metrics
  • Query Management - Communicates with suppliers and internal clients to obtain information and clarify / resolve issues.
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Reconcile Statements Contact with external and internal suppliers / customers to clarify / resolve issues
  • Participate in reconciliation activities of inter-company mismatches - Contacts with different stakeholders within markets for issues resolutions
  • Support external and internal auditors
  • Participate in project implementations
  • Other To carry out such other duties, which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the role and assume the polyvalence for other activities within the Finance team
  • Who you are

    We believe you have :

  • Strong accounting knowledge, general taxes knowledge
  • Completed or finishing your degree in Finance, Accounting or Controlling. Ideally you should have a minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience in an international accounting department
  • Good computer skills (like MS Office, Macros and Digitalization)
  • Fluent in English (Advanced Level in written and spoken English).
  • It will be an advantage to have knowledge within computerised accounting systems such as SAP and experience of operating with workflow technology.
