General Role Purpose
Reporting to the Supervisor Recruitment, the Officer Recruitment responsible for consulting with hiring managers / area to understand their recruitment needs, develop sourcing strategies to leverage diverse high calibre candidates, pre-screen candidates to assess their qualifications through a combination of behavioural and competency-based interviewing, monitor requisition status to ensure an efficient recruitment process.
Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential will be advantageous.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables
Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
Drafts recruitment advertisements; posts and / or places ads in the most effective digital and / or print media for open positions.
Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications.
Connects qualified candidates with hiring managers.
Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
Vets potential employee’s credentials.
Facilitates contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical / industry community and marketplace.
Attends job fairs and industry conferences; runs company booth at job fairs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Cobre Panama is a remote site. This exciting position is based off-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
Rosters and working hours may vary depending on business requirements and occasional travel to the site is required.
