Wind Engineering Manager
Summary of the position :
Lead the evaluation of potential wind energy business opportunities, including environmental studies, permitting, and proposals;
will facilitate the development, engineering, construction, and startup of new and current wind projects throughout MCAC.
Provide technical support for the design, construction, or commissioning of wind farm projects.
Prepare wind project documentation, including diagrams or layouts.
Review or evaluate proposals or bids to make recommendations regarding awarding of contracts.
Manage wind project costs to stay within budget limits.
Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) for wind project construction or equipment acquisition.
Manage site assessments or environmental studies for wind fields.
Update schedules, estimates, forecasts, or budgets for wind projects.
Supervise the work of subcontractors or consultants to ensure quality and conformance to specifications or budgets.
Review civil design, engineering, or construction technical documentation to ensure compliance with applicable government or industrial codes, standards, requirements, or regulations.
Develop scope of work for wind project functions, such as design, site assessment, environmental studies, surveying, or field support services.
Coordinate or direct development, energy assessment, engineering, or construction activities to ensure that wind project needs, and objectives are met.
Prepare or assist in the preparation of applications for environmental, building, or other required permits.
Create wind energy project plans, including project scope, goals, tasks, resources, schedules, costs, contingencies, or another project information.
Technical Skills :
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering.
Master’s in engineering is a plus.
Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership and communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels.
Demonstrated ability in leadership of multi-disciplined teams of engineers and outside consultants.
Strong organizational, networking, leadership, and time management skills.
Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Fluent in English and Spanish skills (written and spoken).
Professional Experience :
Minimum of 10 years combined experience in Design, Commissioning, or Operations of Wind farms.
Minimum of five years multi-discipline engineering management experience
Experience in development and execution of complex project schedules
