Job responsibilities :

  • Develop synopsis of all regional & local partnership, investors agreements
  • Develop checklist of all required financial reporting from all agreements
  • Seek input from DemandCo local & regional team members for writeup descriptions to accompany required financial statements
  • Analyze agreements with local partners and take ownership of the accounting process / journals related to these partnerships.
  • Calculate distributions to local partners (quarterly, half-yearly, yearly payments)
  • Review the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Equity of the locations where local partners have invested in order to perform accurate reporting.
  • Travelling to some locations may be necessary to perform this task correctly.

  • Review and fix balance sheets and significant transactions / agreements (related to loan, equity, revenues, expenses, local partner requirements, sale of assets, etc) before issuing FInancial Statements to investors.
  • Analyze loan and equity agreements, monitor the wire transfers related to these agreements and take ownership of the accounting process / journals related to these agreements.
  • Calculate internal amortization schedule for loans taking into consideration the effect of deferred financing costs.
  • Analyze agreements related to new acquisitions or new investments, propose accounting treatment and journals.
  • Proactively liaise with the legal, growth and treasury department to obtain information and clarify questions that may arise.
  • Proactively liaise with country controllers to obtain agreements and evidence to analyze transactions registered in their books.
  • On a monthly basis perform debt and equity reconciliations.
  • Job requirements :

  • CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • Fluent bilingual in Spanish and English both verbal and written to Business level standard
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP & IFRS rules & regulations and ability to stay current with future changes. Especially technical & partnership accounting- Experience of Oracle and Hyperion a bonus
  • Big4 experience in External Audit (minimum 3 years of experience)
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word·
  • Must have strong work ethics·
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter·
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable·
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills·
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing·
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
