The role is intended to drive high-quality, measurable and sustainable Inbound Logistics solutions and services for LAM Market to exceed our customers expectation and to support the company’s goal by improving the day to day operation.
Goal is to ensure on time in full deliveries with efficiency; seeking to implement a smooth standard inbound logistics process throughout the region with continuous improvements.
Reporting directly to the VP SCM.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage the Inbound Logistics Hub team of LAM to make sure that logistics operations for all countries are well based on the agreed SLA (service level agreement).
Is responsible for Inbound transportation management processes and systems.
Deploy agreed strategic decisions on inbound logistics topics with Global Logistics team. Act as the single point of contact for the multi-country Market to Global Logistics stakeholders to establish alignment of objectives and strategies between Global and Market.
Lead Ocean and Air Freight tenders on behalf of Market LAM jointly with the Global Logistics and Global Procurement to centralize logistics analysis and decisions to ensure the best rates / cost negotiations with selected carriers.
Influence and manage the relationships with Global and Regional Inbound Logistics vendors. Tracks SLA's and KPIs performance across the region acting as the single point of contact.
Act as the single point of contact to improve service levels in terms of ocean and air freight carriers to the countries and to secure transparency and consistency of KPIs.
Manage to utilize functional expertise to assess potential financial and operational impact to facilitate problem solving and decision making in the Inbound Logistics department.
Engage in process and system design or optimization for Inbound Logistics, to meet new business requirements, support other company initiatives, and make continuous improvement

Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
Possess a strong set of skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience.
Broad & deep knowledge and in-depth understanding of the logistics E2E process, combining with broad knowledge of other SCM areas.
Good knowledge in international transport routing.
Skills with an emphasis on communications both externally and internally across different levels.
Self-motivated and open-minded, to strive for operational excellence.
Ability to lead and coach people.
Fully fluent in English and Spanish.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :
University degree in Engineering, Logistics or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in managerial positions in Supply Chain Management / Logistics.
As manager of others 5 years management experience required.
