YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and lead all the Warehouse & Distribution operations in Central America and The Caribbean, responsible for all the logistics execution of the Hub in Panama, Hub in Guatemala and Costa Rica Operations delivering high efficiency, high standards though the distribution network and achieving excellency in customer service for both internal and external customers.
Lead all the W&D strategy for the region.
Actively manages the relationship with logistics services providers to deliver business needs (on time delivery of materials & finished goods, compliance, contract terms, process innovations / changes, operational performance management, financial targets, billings, Ontime Accruals, Over-expenses and SRM).
In collaboration with Procurement, coordinates contract negotiations with external service providers. Acts upon performance or operational criteria to ensure best value for service is provided and manages dispute resolution.
Ensuring 3PL audits, service agreements, freight validations and payments, including costs review. Perform monthly and quarterly reviews with 3PL and forwarders to ensure a high standard operation to delivery service, compliance and efficiency.
Oversees day to day operational execution of order deliveries, facilitating communication between functional areas and ensures timely response to internal or customer inquiries, tracking requirements, facilitates issue resolution and operational follow up with all the logistics providers to deliver OTIF, Cost Efficiency, Documentation compliance, Billings and process expectations.
Also managing the supply excellence model of affiliates and direct shipment markets out of the hub.
Provide and maintain good service as problem solving, ensuring that customers are highly regarded and receive exceptional service throughout the flow of order processing and execution of the logistics process to deliver OTIF targets and manage activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
Manage and control logistics costs and performance, realized on the basis of frequent measurement and systematic review of these costs and performance with logistics service providers.
Leads all the Logistics related special projects to drive continuous improvement to effectively improve service and savings in a sustainable approach to evolve the transportation and warehousing network for the region.
Also Manage the warehouse and distribution budgets, delivering the efficiency targets.
Ensure a full compliance in terms of Quality, International Trade, Law, Risk Management, HSE and Customs in all the Warehouse & Distribution operations in the region.
Ensure Good Warehousing practices and Good distribution practices are followed in all Centro warehouses.
Oversee stock control, inventory reliability, managing aging and obsolesce.
Represent the Supply chain in global, regional and functional councils as well in work associations.
WHO YOU ARE
University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
MBA / MSc or Project Management Post-graduate studies is desirable.
Advanced English level, both written and spoken.
At least 7 years in Logistics, SCM or related field.
At least 4 years of managerial experience.
Extensive knowledge of Logistics Operations is preferred.
Experience in Logistics Operation, Customer Service, Planning and Procurement.
Knowledge of ERP and Planning Software.
