Position Overview

This role will lead various Controls & Compliance services to the ELC Global Finance community, working closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs, find sustainable solutions and execute accordingly.

These areas include but are not limited to the Sarbanes-Oxley program, Controls Implementations / Assessments, Third Party Administrator, Facilitated Self-Assessment, and Controls Issue Management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage key Controls & Compliance services, and provide the necessary insights and analysis to further enhance the control framework for the following areas, including but not limited to :

Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Administration & Reporting

Financial Statement Risk Assessment Analysis

Third Party Risk Management & Reporting (SOC-1 / SSAE 18 requirements)

Controls Self-Assessment Administration

Control Issues Administration & Reporting

Facilitated Self-Assessment

Qualifications :

Degree : University degree, Business Management, Finance or Accounting

Minimum Years of Experience : 6 -10

Relevant experience in the following areas : regulatory compliance, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley regulation, financial risk, internal / external audit, financial processes, financial risk, project management.

Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills required; Tableau / Dashboarding tools, SAP GRC knowledge a big plus.

Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and comprehension skills.

Analytical Capabilities; Ability to gather information, develop & analyze complex data sets, cutting through complexity to arrive at quality insights / solutions.

Develop quality deliverables to be shared with ELC Leadership.

Flexibility & Agility; Ability to work in a matrix organization undergoing significant transformation, under pressure of tight deadlines.

Strong skills in prioritization, providing clear, concise status updates on deliverables.

Ability to operate multi-nationally with overseas business partners and effectively uses influencing tactics and can respond to complex organizational / political climates

Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders (both internal and external) at all levels to help foster a positive compliance culture and create a collaborative environment

Consideration of key stakeholders, potential roadblocks, and other issues upfront to ensure smooth execution of initiatives

Ability to quickly comprehend objectives and develop actionable working plans, and adapt those working plans, when needed, to execute said objectives (project management capabilities).

Strong skills in prioritization, providing Global Financial Controls teams with concise status updates on deliverables.

Knowledge / experience on team leadership / development

Fully bilingual, English and Spanish.

Additional Details

Work shift : Monday Friday. Business Hours

Travel time : 5%.

Contract-type : Full-Time Permanent.

Location : Costa del Este, Panamá.
