Key Accountabilities and Challenges Responsible for the implementation of cost control mechanisms within an assigned department.
Develop strong, positive working relationships, with all the departmental Superintendents and Managers including leading regular area cost reviews to control, report and reduce operational cost.
Responsible for the budgeting and forecasting of specific departments within Hyperion Planning tool.Continual improvement in the budget and forecasting process including optimizing data capture and reporting.
Participate in the preparation of budget analysis reports including variance analysis and identification of key cost drivers.
Develop recharge models and relevant accounting frameworks to facilitate monthly allocations.Provide assistance with the valuation of stockpiles and work in progress.
Commit to the continuous improvement in management reporting and accounting methods to improve existing procedures including the roll out of Power Bi as the primary reporting tool.

Act as deputy for colleagues as required.Perform any other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge & Experience Education A Tertiary Qualification in Accounting and / or FinanceCPA / CA membership highly regarded.
MBA highly regarded Skills Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.Excellent financial modelling skills particularly in the areas of mining / engineering.
Strength in planning and organisation.Excellent analytical skills.Ability to work under pressure in a sometimes-stressful environment.
Computer fluency is a must.Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Experience Minimum of 5 years direct experience in Management Accounting for an operational mining company essentialExperience in budget and Forecast preparation in the mining sector essentialFIFO Experience highly regardedExperience with JDEdwards and Hyperion software will be highly regarded.
Experience with Data analytics and reporting platforms a strong advantage.Fluency in English is required with competency in Spanish highly regarded.
