Partner Technology Strategist (PTS) :
The PTS is at the forefront of our digital transformation efforts for our partners. The PTS plays a critical role in working with partners to align their technology roadmaps with Microsoft's technology priorities, working with them to build new solutions that enable customers to realize the vision of Digital Transformation.
The PTS is a Credible Technical Advisor to Partners C-Suite technical and practice management executives sharing a compelling technical vision leading to Partners committing to building new practices based on Microsoft’s technologies.
PTSs align partners technology roadmaps with Microsoft’s technology priorities and ensure the partner is ready to bring new solutions to market that drive significant growth in partner and Microsoft revenues.
Technology Solutions Professionals add value to Microsoft by proving the value of one or more products or solutions to customers and partners.
They act as technology and competitive resources for broad and complex issues related to specific products, solutions, and technologies to enable partner capacity to generate consumption of cloud services.

Demonstrates Microsoft solutions based on multiple products to customers.
Receives and synthesizes data about customer business issues, solves them with Microsoft solutions, and demonstrates and proves the capability of those solutions through Architectural Design Sessions (ADS).
Results are demonstrated by the customer accepting a solution, and the opportunity for Microsoft Sales to sign a contract.
Displays a thorough knowledge of specific Microsoft products and their context in the competitive landscape.
Provides strategic, technical input to team members, when asked, and refines this input through precision questioning.
Results are demonstrated by the creation of product-based and competitor-based displacement and integration strategies.
Engages with customers, when requested by virtual team members, and reaches out to customers proactively.
Builds credibility with these customers, based on his or her solution expertise or portfolio expertise.
Results are demonstrated by an initial customer engagement, including, as appropriate, a presentation or demonstration.
Monitors and responds to internal technical community posts.
Provides technical insights to product groups through assigned representatives (for example, an Insiders representative).
Demonstrates new and updated solutions, resulting in knowledge transfer to broad internal virtual teams and increased solutions understanding.
3+ years of experience working in technology implementation and training particularly cloud computing and management; experience working within a technical sales environment preferred.
Microsoft Azure certifications
An understanding and passion for cloud computing technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends and solution partners.
Confident articulation of key cloud and technology trends, key business principles and ability to establish credibility
Cloud computing market and ability to develop deep expertise in Microsoft Azure.
Cloud computing services to include application deployment and database technologies
Migration virtual machines from private to public cloud environments
Principles of Hybrid Compute, Management, Security and Operations.
Ability to combine first party Azure Services with 3rd party ISV solutions
Proven track record of outstanding performance and achieving goals
Exceptional interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills to succeed in a customer facing role
Ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences and to connect technological solutions with measurable business value
Success-driven, works well in a diverse team and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
