Your responsibility

  • Through accurate, relevant and timely business, provide adequate financial reports to the division, as well as safeguarding local laws and regulations.
  • Secure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that processes are implemented.
  • Work as a financial consultant supporting the management staff to develop the business in accordance with the strategy and targets.
  • Monitor treasury and cash flow management.
  • Secure an efficient, proactive and customer oriented administrative flow.
  • Proactively review consolidated profit, market contribution, and market efficiency to analyze deviations from the target and plan corrective actiones.
  • Analyze information for the purposes of reporting to the parent organization.
  • Coordinate and supervise the financial audits with internal and external auditors.
  • Analyze deviations to budget / forecast and issue analysis and recommendations.
  • Recommend changes in financial policies and procedures, as necessary.
  • Review and document accounting practices, controls and procedures and work on continuous improvement of processes.
  • Analyze deviations between actual and forecasted / budgeted figures during the year
  • To raise red flags to operational staff and / or management whenever compliance with sound principles are at risk.
  • Improve continuously interaction and communication with other areas.
  • Ensure people management by growing and coaching talents for the future.

    University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent. Minimum 4 years of experience in areas related to the financial management of accounts, International account management, local taxes, dealing with clients.

    Experience managing a team (in person and virtually). Position based in Panamá but aspirants outside the country are accepted.

    Must have both Spanish / English skills (C1-CEFR) Skills & Knowledge :

  • Knowledge in NIIFs, GAAP, audits, Payroll management experience
  • Knowledge of Panamanian accounting and tax regulations
  • Experience with ERP system, experience with iScala is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of IFRS and IAS.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate / Advanced English language proficiency
