Job Summary : Responsible for assisting with minor surgical outpatient procedures, assisting with scheduling or On-call bedside procedures, and assisting with the management of patients from the SDS, OPS, IR, and Cath Lab.
Must also be able to perform phlebotomy and blood cultures, and perform circulating & scrub nurse roles. Also responsible for adhering to safety protocols for operative specimens, electocautery & patient positioning.
Laslty, you must demonstrate the ability of setting up and assisting with Cardio Versions and TEE procedures, and demonstrates a thorough knowledge of High Level Disinfection and quality control procedures.
Must be willing and available to assume call responsibility 5 : 30 p.m. to 7 : 30 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 24-hour call Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Minimum Requirements : High School or GED.
Nursing experience or nursing coursework.
Should have some familiarity with surgical procedures and Phase Two recovery of adults and pediatric patients.
Preferred Qualifications : At least one (1) year previous RN experience on a general medical / surgical floor is preferred, and One (1) year previous Outpatient experience preferred, surgical unit or Critical Care experience preferred.
Licensure and Certifications : ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
