We are looking for a customer-facing, self-driven sales professional who can grow our business by offering our complete portfolio of logistics products to the assigned customer base / market segment.

Position will be based in Panama.

Key Responsibilities

Manage / Grow assigned customer and budget base; pursue and secure business in line with corporate / regional objectives within the assigned geography and / or market segment.

Preparation of sales calls, pipeline management through our CRM with a disciplined approach.

Strive for consultative sales to distinguish market presence by effectively probing / identifying needs and suggesting solutions from our portfolio of logistics products (Ocean, Landside transportation, Customs House Brokerage, Airfreight, LCL, Contract and Lead Logistics, etc.).

Timely and correct update of contract rates, terms, conditions in line with the predefined procedures.

Effectively handover of all "closed-won" business opportunities to our customer service, operations, finance teams.

Establish internal network to facilitate resolution of customer issues.

Research and understand territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers

Respond to all sales leads / key correspondence within identified timelines.

  • Research and analyze competitive and industry trends (e.g., analyze sales statistics, prepare reports, study literature regarding new and existing services, and monitor sales, prices, and services of competitors);
  • recommend appropriate measures.

    We are looking for a person with

    Logistics / Supply Chain Experience : 5 or more years of commercial experience in the freight forwarding industry, building solutions for local, regional, global customers.

    Expertise in the following areas will be highly valued : Warehouse and Distribution, Lead Logistics (4PL), LTL and Cross Border Trucking, Technology & Electronics

    Commercial Skills : Strong negotiator. Has the ability to understand customer pains / needs and build top class solutions using our current product offering as base to close the business.

    Relationship Management : Ability to build trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders within the customers’ organization and leverage internal relationships to expand business opportunities for Sealand.

    Strategic thinking : Can create and execute a well-defined strategy for his / her customer portfolio.

    Disciplined Sales Process : Plan and execute target sales calls, pipeline management through the CRM.

    Soft Skills : Hungry, positive, adaptable, fast learner, sense of urgency, team player, winning mentality.
