This new center will initially deliver Finance, Human Resources and Legal services to ELC employees across several geographies and time zones.

Through a new innovative service minded approach, this center will redefine service standards globally at ELC. This new team will provide a one-stop-shop solution for the ELC businesses, supported by new customer engagement insights, new systems, and new reporting.

In addition to delivering exceptional service to the ELC businesses each day, the team will also be responsible for continuously streamlining work in pursuit of growing its service offering in support of achieving ELC’s strategic and business objectives.

Position Overview

This role is critical in providing financial support for the North America Commercial Region Record to Report (RTR) team, responsible for assisting with closing processes, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and ad-hoc analysis for North America brands.

Demonstrating a customer first’ attitude, the individual will partner with other functional areas to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial services.

This includes the oversight of a Third Party Provider in the completion of deliverables supporting several North American Region Accounting departments.

The candidate will need to demonstrate a strong financial skillset in order to analyze complex business transactions and understand their impact on end financial statements.

In partnership with RTR leadership, the individual will actively participate in identifying efficiencies and opportunities to improve the overall service delivery model.

Qualifications

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee Third Party Provider in the carrying out of RTR processes for North American departments
  • Provide Third Party Provider with guidance and assistance for day to day financial closing and reporting activities
  • Support Process Transformation efforts, working with Regional leadership to improve global close processes and remove work outside of month end close cycle
  • Partner with various departments across the company to develop a deeper understanding of all transactions that impact the North American Region processes and reporting
  • Develop and maintain required reporting for the region, with a focus on Balance Sheet reporting
  • Foster environment of integrity, monitoring adherence to applicable SOX and Operational controls
  • Support and train brand finance teams, Third Party Provider, and other key stakeholders on control changes related to process enhancements for the North America Commercial Region
  • Participate in projects around new brand integrations, and system implementations
  • Ensure creation of and regular updates to appropriate process documentation to improve understanding and drive operational consistency

  • Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance / Administration preferred
  • Minimum Years of Experience : 5 years
  • Proficient in Excel and financial reporting systems; SAP & Hyperion knowledge desired
  • Ability collaborate and drive cross-functional consensus and strong communication and presentation skills necessary
  • Continuous improvement and service-oriented mindset; consistently reviews processes and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness and improve client experience
  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
