Job description : Purpose
Purpose
Reporting to the Supervisor Human Resources, the Advisor Human Resources will provide high level HR support. The position serves as a resource to management on HR related issues.
The role anticipates HR-related needs and seeks solutions within the HR department and business management. The Advisor aims to develop integrated solutions.
The position strengthens partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
Key Accountabilities and Challenges
Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the area of operation.
Timely delivery of Human Resources support and advice as required.
Support business relationships with department managers to maintain policies and processes in line with the agreed strategy including the implementation of new initiatives and programs.
Ensure consistency in day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Support new employees upon arrival to site with matters relating to contract terms, compensation, transfers, development, , social benefits, company benefits and attendance time keeping.
As directed support Department staff with performance management and potential disciplinary actions as required.
Ensure the integrity of the HRIS data through meticulous attention to the detailed recording of employee information.
Provide accurate and timely reports as required.
Ensure information on organisation structure and employee / vacancy data is accurate, current and readily available. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Ensure consistency of processes that support the business units to meet the required levels of effectiveness and productivity.
Support with continuous improvement opportunities to improve the efficiency of the Human Resources team and reduce operational costs.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Human Resources.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Education
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related field.
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to clearly express ideas well in group or one-to-one.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey ideas, information and requests.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to recognize and respond appropriately to abnormal conditions or situations.
Excellent organisational skills.
Meticulous attention to both the detail and confidentiality of data.
Computer fluency essential with emphasis on MS Office programs.
Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
Ability to maintain self-discipline and composure within a stressful environment.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment
Experience
Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a broad HR Generalist (or related) role. Experience with interpreting the Panamanian Labour Code, operating in an industrial setting, developing and implementing an agenda focused on productivity and performance.
Exposure to a complex mining environment highly regarded.
Language
Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English is required.

Working Conditions
Cobre Panama is a remote site. The position is offered as Residential BIBO.
Work hours and rosters may vary as required by the business.
