The Global Legal Services Contracts Lawyer Portuguese will support a team of attorneys to deliver high quality legal services to the business in collaboration with the ELC Legal team in New York and the Regions.
This role will be a part of the ELC Global Legal organization and is part of the group responsible for the work related to commercial contracts.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the Legal team in New York and the Regions
Deliver global legal services relating to commercial contracts, through a multi-function shared service model across ELC’s internal and external stakeholders enforcing ELC’s policies.
Draft a variety of contracts relating to the procurement of goods and services, inbound / outbound licensing agreements, intellectual property related agreements, talent, services and consulting agreements, and other commercial agreements 60%
Assist with contract management tools, automation processes and helping on projects 20%
Support other legal activities involving commercial agreements as needed 20%
Position based at Shared Services Center in Panama
Cosmetic and / or OTC industry experience a plus
4+ years of legal experience at a reputable law firm and / or legal department of a multi-national company
Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts, including, but not limited to, procurement and purchase agreements, talent agreements in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Experience managing contract management tools
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Experience working in a multicultural environment with a diverse workforce
High emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
Strong project management skills
Effectively communicates, exercises good judgment in decision making, and understands complex issues
Strong technical skills with experience in Microsoft Office 365, SAP, Ariba, Serengeti, customer relationship management and workflow management systems
Law Certificate from a reputable Law School in Brazil and / or LLM from US is a plus
