THIS POSITION CAN BE BASED ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES
As part of the AI-Construction Key Account Management team, you will be responsible for protecting and growing Henkel’s business with customers recognized for their strategic importance to the Construction business.
This will involve the following : creation of strategic account plans, making sales calls to assigned customers’ corporate headquarters and key plant sites, the coordination of sales and technical activities to support the sales plan, the ability to help generate and communicate delivered value, execution of Business Reviews, and the ability to identify and resolve issues / problems encountered by our customers or by Henkel’s management, marketing, manufacturing, or technical services team.
Delivering annual sales and profit objectives set by the AIC business unit.
Development of a strategic plan consistent with AIC business objectives.
Communication of strategic plans to regional teams, as well as accountability for implementation and execution of those plans.
Communication of the value generated at the local level, to the corporate level.
Conducting regular Business Reviews to ensure our plan is aligned with customer business objectives and strategies.
Managing Henkel’s response to customer bids; coordination of key account visits at Henkel sites.
Introducing new technology and value propositions to key customers; participation in Trade and market association meetings to maintain industry reputation.
Who we are looking for
BA / BS Degree or similar discipline required.
7 + years experience in industrial / technical sales, former key account management a plus.
Ability to set and meet specific and measurable goals and objectives; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong key account management skills (vision, strategic thinking, planning, communication, relationship building, negotiation, leadership and execution).
Excellent planning, organization, customer focus, results, and relationship building skills.
Creativity, flexibility, adaptability; able to manage ambiguity; effective written and verbal communication skills; excellent coaching capabilities and experience in leading senior people.
Demonstrated ability to : communicate effectively (verbal and written) with external customers and with various parts of the Adhesives organization;
manage time / resources appropriately; and prioritize / meet multiple deadlines.
