As an integrated Primary Care and Women's Health (OB / GYN) practice; the Medical Receptionist will be expected to provide excellent customer service and high quality care to any and all patients seen and treated within the practice.

This position requires working at least one evening and possibly Saturday.

The Medical Receptionist provides administrative support to Provider Practice group and serves as liaison between patient and clinical staff.

Greets, instructs, directs, and schedules patients. Performs duties in support of the Crozer-Keystone mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

This position serves all age populations.

Education and Training : High School Diploma or equivalency required.

Experience : Previous physician practice experience preferred. Previous healthcare insurance billing experience preferred.

This individual must be a highly organized self-starter with knowledge of medical insurance and have computer experience.

An ideal candidate would possess the following :

  • Demonstrated customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong insurance knowledge base
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical and coding terminology
  • Knowledge of Practice Management / Electronic Medical Record Systems, preferably with Medic / Centricity
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 preferred
  • The primary responsibilities of this position include :

  • Patient check-in / check-out
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Patient / phone triage
  • Insurance pre-certifications and referrals
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies
  • Answering telephones
  • General clerical tasks
  • Assisting the Care Team in patient pre-visit preparations
  • Assisting patients with scheduling tests and referrals
  • Scanning documentsinto EMR per practice process
  • Maintaining inventory office supplies
