The Control Systems Engineer has the following key responsibilities :
Required to provide PCS engineering solutions in order to support optimal plant performance.
Identify PCS user requirements using P&IDs, process description and / or interpretation of existing logic.
Ensuring Reliability is in the fore front in every effort to increase availability.
Support and Optimise plant performance through fine tuning.
Software configuration of all relevant field instrumentation through DTM.
Provide advanced support to field instrument diagnostics utilising the Maintenance ES.
Strong problem solving skills.
Adhering to Local OSHA regulations, policies and procedures.
Take part in the Route Cause Analysis Practises.
Ensure that safety aspects are fully compliant with regulations and best practices.
Ensures operational requirements and expectations are met.
Provide relevant information and technical direction.
Assist in creating Scope of Work, Functional Design Specifications and executing the Software Change Management Process.
Bachelor’s degree, National / Higher / Advanced Diploma in instrumentation.
Experience & Skills :
10 15 years related experience in the mining environment.
In-depth knowledge of Instrumentation, PCS engineering principles and standards.
Extensive Experience with Siemens PCS7 V7 or newer.
Extensive knowledge of Industrial Networks including Profibus DP and PA a prerequisite.
Knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure Management Systems.
Knowledge of APC, Historians and OPC Interfaces.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Exposure to large scale projects.
Behavioural Traits :

Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
Exhibit ability to perform in multi-cultural environment.
Display enthusiasm to mentor and train other workforce disciplines.
Other Requirements :
Language Confidence in both English and Spanish will be advantageous.
