1000 million is the number of patients that Novartis Worldwide touched in 2017 with annual sales for 440 MDD in Mexico. Through innovative Access Strategies, Novartis Mexico has signed 14 agreements with Healthcare Institutes to provide High Specialty treatments to patients for improve and long their lives.

Your responsibilities in this role will be :

  • Support local Country Compliance Head (hereinafter CCH ) to establish compliance standards based on internal policies and guidelines / implementing procedures (Code of Conduct, BPO, Anti-
  • Bribery AB and *P3’s) and on applicable local laws and regulations, including industry code, where applicable.

  • Align local standards with global minimal standards and ensure that in all cases the most stringent is applied.
  • Support establishment of policies, processes and SOPs for relevant policies.
  • Develop the annual local training plan for Compliance topics and provide trainings to Novartis’ CAC associates as required.
  • Regularly monitor the completion of face-to-face and (e)-training courses and (e)-certification of CoC, and take appropriate action to ensure the agreed completion target for (e)-
  • training (95%) and (e)-certification of CoC (100%) are met. Ensure system for documenting and evidencing training completion is followed.

  • Develop new trainings that fulfill business demands with an innovative approach (i.e. P3Core on ilearn, Novartis Compliance for vendors.
  • Champion speak-up, transparency and a culture of integrity throughout the organization.
  • Continually provide advice and guidance to the business on compliance topics and challenges (including on the required approval processes)
  • Actively follow trends in the market by involving in events and local activities to ensure Novartis’ Compliance program is up to date.
  • Actively engage in industry associations and other compliance related stakeholder groups.
  • Actively participate in Compliance Meetings (organized by CCH) and share best practices.
  • Support the CCH in the identification and realization of cross-divisional (Sandoz, Alcon) synergies.
  • Ensure PCC tool (P3Core) is up to date by providing timely assessment to the business requirements.
  • Ensure communication to associates on Compliance initiatives are timely send.
  • Keep the Compliance website up to date with relevant information.
  • Ensure Compliance webpage is up to date with the latest information.
  • Assess risks. Inform CCH on identified compliance risks.

    Minimum requirements

  • University Degree in business or law or other relevant subject matter
  • Fluent English and local language
  • 1 / 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, device or healthcare industries with relevant exposure to compliance function or related components preferred.
  • Specific or transferable experience in the core expertise area required to support the project / process.
  • Proven ability to effectively support projects / processes and collaborate within and across cross-functional matrixed environment.
