Qualifications

  • Advanced graduate degree and excellent academic record required (e.g., MBA, Ms., PhD, etc.)
  • 3-10 years of outstanding achievements in a managerial or professional operations role in best in class companies or consulting firms
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability, including logical reasoning, creative thinking, comfort with numbers, and the ability to untangle complex issues
  • Demonstrated leadership within or outside a work setting
  • Demonstrated career trajectory; evidence of taking on larger responsibilities and / or more senior roles over time
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Comfort with extensive travel (up to 80% of time)
  • Who You'll Work With

    You'll join our Panama City office, working with our Operations Practice.

    Our Operations Practice helps our clients in solving complex operational challenges. Blending strategic thinking with hands-

    on practicality, our teams of consultants and experts work to develop and implement operational strategies that solve our clients' most critical problems.

    You’ll work closely with our client project teams, providing end-to-end support to ensure the clients are able to deliver and sustain the full benefits of McKinsey’s recommended change in their business.

    Our work for clients can take many different forms. We give them the tools to improve their performance, with approaches like lean manufacturing, design-

    to-cost, supplier development, and global sourcing. We help them to improve their relationships with their customers, with better product designs and better service and sales strategies, and we help them develop knowledge and skills continually to improve their own performance, through targeted training and capability building programs.

    What You'll Do

    You will work on client projects covering various industries and functions and will likely focus in the areas of supply chain management, product development, purchasing & supply management, service operations, manufacturing, and capital productivity.

    This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations.

    You'll also have the opportunity to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members.

    In this role you will gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. As an Operations consultant, you will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues.
