Lead the development and execution of the Mars Caribbean & Central America activity pipeline in line with business strategy in line with S&OP principles to fuel portfolio growth, through stage-

gate process management and strong multi-functional process leadership and governance.

Generating activities in the marketplace is critical to ensure continuing business share growth. At the same time, product lifecycles of the core portfolio need to be managed to avoid uncontrolled range proliferation and escalating business complexity.

Driving improved ways of working between business teams to drive an efficient and effective portfolio management approach, the accountabilities of this role include :

  • Provide governance and control over future product portfolio change activities, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, business case and right first time, on time execution
  • Facilitate the local Portfolio Management Review PMR as the first step of the S&OP+ process, managing decisions, escalations, risks and opportunities
  • Ensure effective maintenance of an optimal Product Portfolio for the local business unit (product lifecycle management, including portfolio decomplexity)
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional teams reviews to manage innovation pipeline and stage gate submission to S&OP Step 1 (PMR Portfolio Management Review)
  • Document stage gate process in compliance with Quest to give effective and quality input to S&OP process, by giving visibility of changes in timings, scope and size of prize linked to risks and opportunities
  • Be the gatekeeper for the activity management system & system protocol
  • Ensure that all portfolio activities affecting the CCA Business Unit are implemented according to the agreed scope, meeting the agreed KPI’s and in line with the required project timing.
  • Become the key contact with Mars affiliates from a portfolio perspective. Defining and optimizing WOW’s and processes between units.
  • Lead the CCA Step 1 Product Management Review forum according to S&OP process principles
  • Continually lead improvements to current ways of working to drive an efficient & effective portfolio management approach that is based on S&OP process principles.
  • Product lifecycle management, including portfolio decomplexity : continual management of total portfolio performance and drive actions to avoid uncontrolled range proliferation and increased business complexity.

    1. Education & Professional Qualification

  • 2 -3 years experience in similar position (portfolio / project manager) not limited to consumer goods industry
  • BA Business Administration or Industrial Engineering
  • English (90%), Spanish
  • 2. Knowledge / Experience

  • Experience in project management. Multiple examples of managing projects with a regional scope with multiple stake holders.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Must be able to influence and motivate at all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives.
  • Show clear examples of influencing without authority.

  • Experienced creating and streamlining processes
  • Well-developed organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
