Procurement at Nestlé In order to implement and drive the success of our procurement model, we are looking for a highly competent Global Category Manager / Energy responsible for managing the commercial and sourcing activity for Energy used by Nestlé worldwide, with a strong focus on North America.
Are you ready to join a high performing team? Reporting directly to the Procurement Category Leader , you will be responsible for the end-
to-end management of the spend category, creating competitive advantage and contributing to the reduction of operational risk.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Manage price risk for energy (gas and electricity) for global Nestlé premises, using a variety of price risk management Tools.
Develop and lead the sourcing strategies for your category whilst interacting with relevant Business Partners and stakeholders.
Ensure Supplier Relationship Management by taking supplier development and management actions.
Handle negotiations seeking the best Total Cost Ownership contracts and the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers.
Manage a sourcing team (1 direct report) and be active member of the global energy procurement network.
Develop team capabilities by leveraging category knowledge and leadership skills.
Overall management of reporting on your category and handle business planning and price forecast activities.
Promote and ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
What is required?
Experience in strategic sourcing for energy (electricity, renewable energy, gas and fuel) with a strong knowledge on US market.
University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Engineering.
6+ years’ experience in a strategic sourcing or procurement environment ideally in the food or FMCG industry.
Proven track record in managing teams in complex organizations and developing key talents and people.
Demonstrated experience in a range of different spend categories and proven record as a Category Manager in different categories.
Able to influence both internal stakeholders & senior management and present key sourcing strategies to Sourcing team and senior leaders.
Experience in managing Supplier development initiatives & ability to lead supplier negotiations, contracts.
Ability to manage change processes cross-functionally and with external suppliers.
Understanding of National and International Procurement Regulations.
Fluency in English, Spanish will be highly appreciated and other languages will be an asset.
