The above Plant Maintenance Department Specialist duties and responsibilities will include the following :
Direct responsibility for ensuring the safety of all maintenance department personnel.
Tasks could be technical or managerial.
Includes supervisory requirements such as personnel monitoring and control, scheduling of all department member work and vacation time, merit evaluations and documentation of items requiring disciplinary measures.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Good understanding of industry best practices relating to installation and maintenance of rotating equipment, valves, instrumentation, and heavy electrical.
5 years or more satisfactory experience in a Maintenance Department Supervisory position.
10 years or more experience in Maintenance Department or power plant construction.
Professional licenses such as Millwright, Master Electrician, Certified Welder or CWI highly preferred.
Familiarity with Computer Maintenance Management Systems highly preferred.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Previous extended tours of work in man camp / remote access locations.
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, scheduling, inventory control, and work planning programs of some type.
Good English communication skills; Spanish working knowledge as a minimum, fluency preferred.
Experience working within multi-cultural environments a definite plus.
